Ticket types

Tickets for all Russian interurban trains and for several international trains can be booked and issued online. You do not have to waste time and money for receiving the tickets by ordinary post. Just book online and get the electronic ticket by e-mail.
Booking Russian train tickets online you will receive an electronic ticket receipt. At some trains this receipt must be changed for paper tickets at the train station, and other trains support electronic registration (check-in), which enables the passenger to use the electronic ticket for boarding (no need to change the electronic ticket for paper ticket at the station).
Some international trains support only paper tickets which can be booked at ticket-offices only.
Please, read the information below about both kinds of Russian train tickets.

Electronic tickets

If the train supports electronic registration, we e-mail you electronic tickets which do NOT have to be exchanged for paper tickets before boarding. All you have to do is to print out the voucher received from us. You will board your train with this voucher and passport. This is very convenient, so if there are several options on your direction we recommend you to select those trains which support electronic check-in. They are marked on our web-site with a blue ‘E-registration’ sign.

If you book a ticket for a train which does not support electronic registration, it is also OK. We will e-mail you an electronic ticket receipt which must be exchanged for paper tickets before boarding.
You will be able to get your paper ticket at the Train Station from which you will go. Just be at the station some time before the train departure (please take into account queues to the ticket offices). To exchange electronic ticket receipt for paper tickets you can use Russian Railways ticket offices marked with @ sign or Self-service terminals.

How to print out paper tickets using a self-service terminal:

1. In the initial window, select the option «Print prepaid tickets»
2. You will see a form of data entry, identifying the order (order number, last name, first name and passport details of one of the passengers). Booking number can be entered using the bar code scanner. After filling the data press «request.»
3. You will see the details of the order on the display, and the client will be asked to confirm the listing of tickets, or to abandon it. If you select ‘print out’, the screen opens a window showing a client can take the travel documents.

Paper tickets

Many of the international trains between Russia and other countries do not support electronic tickets. Paper tickets for these trains can only be issued at the ticket-office.
Those trains which accept only paper tickets are marked on our web-site with a special sign. Please, pay attention to that fact that the delivery costs are not included in the ticket’s price. Extra fee for delivery by courier post will be added to the cost of the ticket if you cannot pick up your tickets at our office in Moscow or Saint-Petersburg.
